Yesterday, April 19, during the meeting of parents, we learned the great news: The formerly known as Col·legi del Pirineu reaches a new stage as Agora International School Andorra, under the umbrella of the prestigious educational group NACE Schools. The school redefines its educational project, with an international focus, an ambitious linguistic project and the objective of following in the footsteps of other leading centers of the group, such as Agora Sant Cugat, the best private school in Barcelona.
A large group
NACE Schools is an educational group with a solid international background. They have more than 30 schools in 6 different countries: Spain, France, United Kingdom, Italy, India and now also Andorra.
The new project
The Col·legi del Pirineu not only changes its name: the new Agora International Andorra will implement in the coming years the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, from Primary (PYP, Primary Years Programme), Secondary (MYP Middel Years Programme) and finishing in Baccalaureate (Diploma Programme). Moreover, an important investment in technology and facilities is being made, with the virtual classroom as a backdrop, as well as specific training for teachers and the integration of Apple’s “Everyone can Code” program.
In addition, from the next academic year the students of Agora International Andorra will have the choice of obtaining the Dual Diploma, which provides a double degree: the Baccalaureate in Spain and the American High School Diploma, which allows students to get access to American universities, and emphasizes immersion in English, technological knowledge and personal development of the student.
The linguistic project stands out due to the strong internationalization: English, Spanish and French are vehicular languages, reinforced with Catalan throughout the period, in a linguistic immersion that goes from childhood to high school.
